Racist verbal attack in Sprowston

A 17-year-old was racially verbally abused as he walked in Sprowston on Thursday (22 May).

It happened at approximately 4.20pm as the teen walked along Fairstead Road, near to the junction with Wroxham Road, when he was approached by two men.

The men were abusive towards the victim and followed him for a short time along Wroxham Road to the traffic lights near to Sprowston Police Station.

The suspect continued walking along Wroxham Road towards Tesco Express and are described as white and both around 6ft tall. The first man had short blond hair and wore grey tracksuit bottoms while the second suspect had short brown hair and was wearing tracksuit bottoms, a jacket which was unzipped and Nike trainers. He was also wearing a silver chain around his neck.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed two people matching the above descriptions in the area around the times stated.
