Sheringham Little Theatre will be playing host to Bootworks Theatre’s tour of The Incredible Eating Boy on February 9.

The show gives the audience a unique and intimate theatre experience – each performance is just five minutes long and is performed to one child and their accompanying parent or guardian at a time, inside Bootworks’ Black Box theatre installation.

The show is then repeated 30 times a day. Based on the award winning children’s book by acclaimed author and illustrator Oliver Jeffers, the production received rave reviews when it premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2011 and across a national tour throughout 2012.

The show uses live performance, puppetry and back projection to tell the story of Henry, who loves books. However, his passion for books is not contained to reading them – he loves to eat books, but he discovers that the more books he eats, the smarter he becomes. But a book-eating diet isn’t the healthiest of habits, as Henry soon finds out.
