St Michael’s Nursery and Infant School have successfully secured funding for an exciting project to build a wooden castle in the nursery play area.  The children are looking forward to hours of fun playing in the fantastic new fort which it’s hoped will be completed before the autumn term begins.

The grant of £8674 from the Big Lottery Fund was applied for by nursery teacher Mrs Kerry Joynes. Kerry  has been working with the children in the nursery and is always looking for new stimulating play opportunities.

St Michael’s School encourages children to spend as much time outside as possible, so the grant will also  provide a canopy to give a shaded area for outside activities in this hot summer sun, and rain cover for the  cooler months.
