Town is set for festive switch-on
Businesses in Sheringham are being asked to make this year’s Christmas lights switch-on as special as possible.
The ceremony, on December 1, will be a special occasion, with lots of ideas to get people from far and wide into the festive spirit.
Throughout the day, Christmas music will be played around the town, both live and through the PA system.
There will be a competition to find elves hidden in the shop windows throughout December, and Father Christmas will be in his grotto at the Little Theatre during the switch-on day.
And as well as the Sheringham Ukulele Players, the Sheringham and Cromer Brass Band and The Shanty Sirens hoping to make an appearance, The Salvation Army will be leading community carol singing around the town clock.

The official lighting-up time is planned for between 5pm and 6pm at the clock, but all times are subject to change as the date draws nearer.
The festive event is organised by Experience Sheringham, who are still
welcoming ideas to promote the town this Christmas.
