Troshers feel the squeeze

Are you retired and find you have completed all the odd jobs around the home and are wondering what you can do to keep active, meet people and get out of the house?

Perhaps you have always wanted to play an instrument but never got further than the school recorder or piano lessons that got frustrating and abandoned…

Well, why not join the Troshers accordion band?

All you need is a knowledge of the right-hand fingering on the piano and the ability to read music.

The Troshers are a friendly group of 15 players, of mixed ability, whose main aim is to enjoy themselves and provide enjoyment for others who are in care homes and at clubs in and around the Norwich area.

There are teachers available to help beginners and advanced students, and even spare instruments to hire before taking the plunge and buying one yourself.

The group has players from all over the area and meets for practice at the St Francis Church, Rider Haggard Road, in Norwich, on Thursdays at 2pm.

If you are interested, musical director Pamela would love to hear from you on 01603 867739.
