The Aylsham branch of TSB is to close along with 35 other branches, the bank has announced.

TSB is cutting a total of 250 jobs across its business, with roles being axed in its fraud operation and central operations as well as at branches across the country.

The Aylsham branch, in Market Place, is set to close in May 2025.

A TSB spokesperson said: “The decision to close a branch is never taken lightly, but our customers are now doing most of their banking digitally and we need to move to a better balance of digital and face-to-face services.
“Our priority is to consult with impacted colleagues to ensure they’re fully supported, maximising redeployment opportunities when we can.

“We remain committed to a national branch network and through innovation and integration with video, telephone, digital and other face-to-face services, TSB customers have more ways to bank with us than ever before.”

The Unite union has criticised TSB and said it would hold negotiations to reduce job losses.

Andy Case of Unite said: “These workers perform essential work in the fraud departments and across the branch network.”

CLOSING DOWN: TSB in Aylsham market place is to close next year.
