Cromer presenter Nigel Pearce has struck gold with an exclusive for Future Radio.

He will be presenting The Lindisfarne Story live on 107.8FM on Monday (September 21).

The group is famous for tunes including Fog On The Tyne, Meet Me On The Corner, Lady Eleanor, Winter Song and Run For Home.

Named after the small island off the Newcastle coast, the story of Lindisfarne is indeed a unique and totally British phenomenon.

Starting from hard North Eastern backgrounds, this group went on to have landmark hits which sold all over the world during the 1970’s.

Today in 2015 The Lindisfarne Story is enjoying a successful tour around England and the rest of the British Isles that defies belief. Packed theatres, with people of all ages fascinated by the fantastic anecdotes and singing along to those landmark songs.

Latter day member Billy Mitchell tells of his parallel formative steps in music alongside lifelong buddy Ray and this combination will appear live on Future Radio from 10am.

Monday morning presenter Nigel said: “To secure guests of this calibre is an absolute winner for Future Radio and to have them to play and sing live in the studio is a tremendous bonus. Fellow broadcaster Richard Harrison will also be amongst the crowd to provide what is going to be a one spectacular that will linger long in the memory after their date in Norwich on October 5 as well.”
