Spring has Sprung – so why not visit the Spring Craft Weekend at Blickling Estate where there will be lots going on for all the family!

The Blickling Estate is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, but many say it’s at its best in the Spring.  So, why not pop in over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend, 25-27 May, and enjoy the Spring Craft Fair which is taking place in the charming old walled garden in marquees. There will be around 25 stands including jewellery, pottery, textiles and art as well as a tile making workshop for both young and young at heart.  There will also be a whole host of activities taking place in Blickling’s Orchard & Parade and there will be delicious food & ice cream on offer all weekend – all this for just £2/person and children under 14 go free!

The Craft Fair will be open from 10.15am – 5pm Saturday – Monday.  Exhibitors, many of whom are local, will be demonstrating their crafts ranging from jewellery and cider-making to paper marbelling and ceramicists so you will have the opportunity to watch, learn and buy.  There is lots more going on too – over the 3 days there will also be a Vintage Fair, including clothing and collectables.  The Blickling Engineers (vintage machinery) and The Fool’s Puppet Theatre Companie will be putting on a show (Saturday & Monday); Norfolk Brass will be filling the air with music and there will also be Morris Dancers (Sunday only), face painting and a Plant sale! There really is something for everyone so why not make it a memorable day out for all the family?

Of course the House and Gardens are open (normal National Trust admission charges apply)
