Welcome, Norfolk CCC!
Sprowston Cricket Club will be holding Minor Counties matches and a major festival this summer as Norfolk County Cricket Club is moving its home to the Barkers Lane ground.

The county club will play its two home National Counties Cricket Association Championship matches and stage its showcase games there, as well as white-ball fixtures.
Mike Hanby, chairman of Norfolk, said: “We are delighted to call Sprowston Cricket Club our new home and cannot thank them enough for the warm welcome we’ve received.
“The ground itself is absolutely beautiful, and we’re looking forward to playing our fixtures here in front of our members and supporters. It’s a fantastic venue, and we can’t wait to share some exciting cricketing moments with you all.”
And the Norfolk Cricket Festival – a focal part of NCCC’s heritage since the 1890s – will be moving to Sprowston.
The showcase game against Kent Spitfires on August 4 will also be held there.
Sudhir Trivedi, chairman of Sprowston Cricket Club, said he was delighted the ground was the new home of the county side.
“We’ve worked hard to make sure that the venue is at its best and I’d like to thank everyone at Sprowston CC who has made this happen,” he said.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to have Norfolk County Cricket Club at Sprowston and we are looking forward to watching some first-class matches at the ground.”
Sprowston 1st XI play in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier League. Home games start on April 26 and are played every Saturday at noon. Visit www.sprowstoncricketclub.org
