Witness appeal after fatal Hevingham accident

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Hevingham, between Aylsham and Norwich, in the early hours of this morning (Monday 14 November).

The incident happened at about 1.30am on the A140 Cromer Road when a black VW Passat left the roadside and collided with a tree.

A passing police car stopped at the scene and officers attempted CPR until paramedics arrived but the driver, a man in his 40s, sadly died at the scene.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened shortly before 6am.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed the driving manner of the Passat prior to the incident.
