Town recognises its unsung heroes
Some of our town’s unsung heroes have been rewarded with well-deserved praise at the annual Cromer Honours Awards ceremony.
Now in their 27th year, the awards recognise significant achievement by individuals and groups. So far more than 100 have been presented.
Mayor Pat West presented the winners with their certificates as well as announcing his Commendation Awards for the year.

Honours were presented to:
Tracey Johnson and the Mustard Seeds for their hard work at St Martin’s Church providing meals to those in need.
Paul Brooks for his 42 years of service at Cromer Hospital.
Christopher Chisolm for his dedication to continued development of Cromer Youth
Football Club.
Jim Lilley for his commitment to the coastguard and other events.
The Mayor’s Youth Award went to Cpl Jack Woodward, who was the first Mayor’s Cadet.
Commendation awards were given to:
Jilly Boocock for her work building relationships for the Cromer Twinning Association with our twin towns of Nidda and Crest.
Jackie Austin for her hard work on the Christmas Tree Festival. Last year it attracted the highest number of entrants to date and was a great success.
Sgt Toby Gosden for his dedication to Cromer, going above and beyond to support all the events and the town.
Chris Gurney, posthumously, for his contribution to Cromer.
The mayor also gave an update of his activities over the past year and read out the names in the town’s Memory Book.
If anyone whose family members have been added to the book would like to view it they can email the town council at admin@cromer-tc.gov.uk to arrange it.
