A community wellbeing hub has been opened by a mental health charity in the centre of Aylsham.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
The new facility, at 1 Red Lion Street, is operated by Norfolk and Waveney Mind and brings together mental health support, local services and a place where everyone can feel welcome.

Mental health charity Mind has opened a new support hub in the centre of Aylsham.

The hub is called REST, which stands for recover, eat, support and talk, and reflects the ways people can be more connected in their community.
It provides free, walk-in mental health support and information about other services seven days a week, from 11am to 5.30pm.
Sam Apeh, Hub Manager at Norfolk and Waveney Mind, said: “REST Aylsham joins our growing provision of community hubs across Norfolk and is another great example of how we are providing mental health services differently to anything we have done before.
“Our ambition is to ensure no one has to face poor mental health alone. To deliver on this, we will continue to invest in mental health services which are people centered and break down access barriers so more people can get help and support closer to home.”

REST Aylsham joins the charity’s growing portfolio of community hubs, following the recent opening of REST Norwich and REST Thetford.  The charity plans to open similar hubs in North Walsham, Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn in the coming months.
